I Began

I Began.

I chose Her because she was Strong. Wild. Free.

Her hands could make anything from nothing

Her heart was as big as the sun

I chose him

I thought he was brave, and could love Her

he might stay, until he cannot

I entered this world

A silver fish splashing back to the sea

Perhaps the moon was full

Maybe I cried into the night

The water was dark and cold, nothing could swim there

Her arms became a ship to set sail on

his, a net that could not hold

My eyes burned blue

Tiny hot fingers began searching

Wind and song pierced my ears

My life, an endless ocean, came crashing against the shores
